Hermit Crab Character Guide

The Hermit Crab is the Sandy Beach's signature fight: a LVL 40 crab in a spiked conch shell (697 HP at the time of the official screenshot) standing between the palm trees and the shipwreck crates. The developer loaded a preset literally called "Beach Kill" for the clip — this is a designed encounter, not random wildlife.

The shell is the fight: the crab's HP pool turns it into a war of attrition, and the official loadout pairs it with a Wooden Heater Shield (Block -20%). Steady melee DPS while blocking the counter-swings wins; the turn-based grid means you can always trade one prepared block for one panicked heal.

At LVL 40 with 697 HP, the Hermit Crab sits squarely in the mid-game bracket — harder than the dungeon's opening acts, gentler than the sewer's tapeworm. Beach crates along its territory are the loot that makes the trip pay.
